The pictures here are of an overnight trip we took with some members of the mentor group and another group of father's and son's in training for Rainier. We camped at 3800 feet just above chocolate falls where we were protected from the wind. It snowed a little the first day and the mountain was cloaked in a cloud cap above 5000 feet. In the morning we got up and prepared to go but the mountain was still covered in a cloud until almost 7:30. We decided to go for it and the conditions improved throughout the day. We got to the summit in about 4 hours. There were lots of skiers on the mountain that day. Conditions were good with a few inches of fresh snow at the top. The glissade down was great and weather sunny and nice. Everyone had a great time and got lots of skills practice as well.
